Should guests wish to amend their bookings, notification of these changes must be given 8-21 calendar days prior to the first official day of tour. Guests will be notified of any resulting changes to booking price prior to confirmation.

Cancellations and Amendments (ACT-SA)

ACT-SA reserves the right to cancel tours; and amend fares, itineraries and days of operation. At times, it may be necessary to provide alternative transport and take alternative routes due to adverse road and/or weather conditions, or to accommodate the mobility of guests.

Guest Essentials and Luggage

Guests should provide at a minimum, at their own cost: comfortable walking shoes, water bottle, weather appropriate clothing (warm clothes in winter; sun protection in summer), and lunch (pre-packed, or money to purchase). It is recommended that guests consult weather forecasts of the region to inform decisions. All medications, personal hygiene products, and other personal items deemed necessary are to be brought at the guest’s own cost.

Guests on half or one-day tours are restricted to one (1) backpack per person. Guests on multi-day tours are restricted to two (2) backpacks per person + a pillow (if camping). ACT-SA reserves the right to refuse carriage to any person or luggage item without reason.

ACT-SA Provisions

ACT-SA will provide camping gear (excluding pillows) and breakfast for multi-day tours. Camping fees are included in fares. Breakfast includes a choice of cereals, toast, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Lunch and dinner are not provided, but may be purchased at the guest’s own expense at one of our many industry partners.

Guests should be mindful that ACT-SA may not be able to cater to specific dietary needs or preferences. This includes venues en route where choices may be limited. Please notify ACT-SA of any dietary needs/requirements to discuss when enquiring or booking tours.

Vehicles, Tag-Along/Hop-On Guiding

Tours are conducted in 4WD vehicles (5-seater; 1 guide, 4 guests). Options are available for hop-on guiding (guide will travel in guest’s vehicle) or tag-along (guests travel in own vehicle). Guests are to cover personal vehicle-related costs (including fuel) at their own expense.

Liability

ACT-SA will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings or luggage whilst on tour. ACT-SA does not operate or own any third-party suppliers of services, such as boat services, accommodation and local restaurants; therefore, we do not take responsibility whatsoever for injury or loss of any type arising in any matter. It is important to follow guide’s (or guides’) directions and safety instructions at all times. ACT-SA will not be held liable if any breach of the guide’s (or guides’) directions or instructions leads to personal injury or damage or loss to property. ACT-SA reserves the right to cancel any bookings with no refund if any serious breaches to instructions occur at any time during tours.

Respectful Conduct

We expect all guests to be respectful of Aboriginal cultural heritage and the environment. Guests must not damage, disturb or remove Aboriginal objects or the natural environment. Consent must be given before video or photographs can be taken.

Litter/rubbish should be disposed of thoughtfully. Where a bin is not available, guests should retain rubbish until a facility becomes available.
