Your Choice of: Point Pearce Aboriginal Community (A) or East Coast Yorke Peninsula (B); then Red Banks Conservation Park (Burra) and Clare (Wine Region)
- Day 1(A)
- Explore the Aboriginal township of Point Pearce (Bookyanna) with an experienced and knowledgeable Narungga guide (Traditional Owner of the Country)
- Discover the history of this settlement, which was once an Aboriginal mission, and how the Aboriginal people survived European settlement.
- Day 1(B)
- Travel down the East coast of Yorke Peninsula and Adjahdura Land to the Pine Point and Black Point Cultural Sites, featured in our documentary “Sacred Ground” (visit our Gallery page)
- Walk along the beach or cliff face to ancient ochre and tool quarries
- Tides permitting, guests can walk out to an ancient fish trap and look for shellfish amongst the rocks
- Day 2
- Drive from Adelaide to the Red Banks Conservation Park, one of the richest megafauna sites in Australia and home to precious ecological communities and wildlife
- Walk along a goat track down into the main gorge and take in an ancient landscape once roamed by gigantic marsupials known as the megafauna
- Check out megafauna fossils on display at the heritage mining town of Burra
- End the tour in the town of Clare in the state’s wine region, visiting the house of John Horrocks (one of the first British settlers in the area) and to the discuss the effects of British colonisation on the Ngadjuri people
Tour includes pick up and return to Adelaide, travelling in 4WD. Choose between camping (swag, mattress, sleeping bag and tent included), or stay with one of our many industry partner hotels (at additional cost). Breakfast included on day 2, excludes lunch and dinner.

- Gain an incredible Aboriginal insight into Innes National Park, the crown jewel of the Yorke Peninsula and multi-award winning National Park
- Experience cultural ceremonies, listen to Dreaming stories, visit ancient sites, take in breathtaking views, admire native animals and much more
- Day 1(B)
- Travel down the east coast of the Yorke Peninsula and Adjahdura Land to Pine Point and walk along the beach or cliff face to ancient ochre and tool quarries

- Listen to the Dreaming stories of the area as the tour makes its way to the Aboriginal community of Point Pearce, and learn how Aboriginal people survived British settlement

- View remnants of British settlement in the region, including the ruins of the Piltimitiappa Homestead, on the way to the Dares Hill Summit lookout to take in the views
- End the tour by spending some time at the site of some of the most unique Aboriginal rock art engravings, before returning to Adelaide

- Continue your stay at Orroroo to visit the giant gum tree, where great Ngadjuri man, Grandfather Barney Warrior was born
- Share history and Dreaming stories passed on to Irene Agius, who in turn passed them on to her son, Quenten Agius
- Visit ancient Aboriginal rock engravings in the area and be amazed by the optical illusion of Magnetic Hill
- End the tour in the town of Clare, located in the state’s wine region, for world class boutique wineries, wine tastings and lunch before heading back to Adelaide
- Day 5 Alternative
- Visit an open air gallery of Aboriginal engravings at a protected location in the Mid North, as seen in the “Sharing Culture” video below.
