Red Banks Conservation Park (Burra) and the Clare (Wine Region)
- Drive from Adelaide to the Red Banks Conservation Park, one of the richest megafauna sites in Australia and home to precious ecological communities and wildlife
- Walk along a goat track down into the main gorge and take in an ancient landscape once roamed by gigantic marsupials known as the megafauna
- Check out megafauna fossils on display at the heritage mining town of Burra
- End the tour in the town of Clare in the state’s wine region, visiting the house of John Horrocks (one of the first British settlers in the area) and to the discuss the effects of British colonisation on the Ngadjuri people

Two Day Outbush Tour
Clare (Wine Region), Burra, Red Banks Conservation Park; then Caroona Conservation Park, Dares Hill Summit lookout, Ketchowla
- Day 1
- Drive from Adelaide to the Mid North region of South Australia, into the wine region’s Clare Valley
- Visit the house of John Horrocks (one of the first British settlers in the area) and to the discuss the effects of British colonisation on the Ngadjuri people
- Check out megafauna fossils on display at the heritage mining town of Burra
- Travel to the Red Banks Conservation Park, one of the richest megafauna sites in Australia and home to precious ecological communities and wildlife
- Stay at Red Banks Conservation Park or Burra
- Day 2
- Travel to Caroona Conservation Park and take in the various geological landforms of the Mid North region
- View remnants of British settlement in the region, including the ruins of the Piltimitiappa Homestead, on the way to the Dares Hill Summit lookout to take in the views
- End the tour at the site of some of the most unique Aboriginal rock art engravings before returning to Adelaide

- Day 1

- Stay at Red Banks Conservation Park or Burra
- Day 2
- Travel to Caroona Conservation Park and take in the various geological landforms of the Mid North region
- View remnants of British settlement in the region, including the ruins of the Piltimitiappa Homestead, on the way to the Dares Hill Summit lookout to take in the views
- Spend some time at the site of some of the most unique Aboriginal rock art engravings, walking along a 1km (1/2 mile) creek bed covered in patiently and precisely pecked petroglyphs
- Stay at Peterborough or Orroroo
- Day 3
- Continue your stay at Orroroo to visit the giant gum tree, where great Ngadjuri man, Grandfather Barney Warrior was born
- Share history and Dreaming stories passed on to Irene Agius, who in turn passed them on to her son, Quenten Agius
- Visit ancient Aboriginal rock engravings in the area and be amazed by the optical illusion of Magnetic Hill
- Head to the town of Clare, located in the state’s wine region for world class boutique wineries, wine tastings and lunch
- Day 3 (alternative)
- Visit an open air gallery of Aboriginal engravings at a protected location in the Mid North, as seen in the “Sharing Culture” video below.
